Georgetown Health Foundation has several affiliates including an inpatient substance abuse facility, home care services, Volunteer Chaplains, and SDGH Volunteer Services Program.
Georgetown Home Health Agency
Georgetown Healthcare System provides home health services through its local agency – “Georgetown Home Health Agency” (GHHA). GHS provides needed support for primary and elder care through home health operations and activities with the majority of services being provided to Medicare patients.
Home care services are provided to patients in Georgetown and the surrounding area in keeping with each patient’s ability to pay for such services. For more information regarding home health services call (512) 869-5800.
Northeast Texas Treatment Center
The Northeast Texas Treatment Center (NTTC) is a residential treatment facility in East Texas for substance abuse. Georgetown Health Foundation operates an inpatient substance abuse facility in partnership with the Rusk County Community Supervision & Corrections Department.
The joint project is located in northeast Texas and is a diversion program for individuals who are non-violent, placed on community supervision, and exhibit evidence of substance abuse. Clients are referred through the Texas criminal justice system. This substance abuse treatment project offers a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation geared to reintegrate clients back into the community and reduce recidivism (www.nttcrusk.org)
Volunteer Chaplains
The Volunteer Chaplains of Georgetown Health Foundation consists of approximately twenty-five Chaplains and twelve Stephen Ministers who provide their services 24 hours a day – 365 days per year. These Volunteers contribute approximately 1,200 hours each year visiting patients and families during their scheduled “on call” shifts, attending administrative meetings, and spending additional hours of service during times of crisis.
Volunteer Services Program
Georgetown Health Foundation has an active Volunteer Services Program comprised of approximately 150 community members that serve in various volunteer roles at St. David’s Georgetown Hospital. Volunteer Services Program provides volunteer support to St. David’s Georgetown Hospital ranging from patient and family assistance to administrative or clerical support in departments throughout the hospital.
