Strategic Partnerships

Following a thorough evaluation process, Georgetown Health Foundation identified two local non-profit organizations to partner with in order to meet its mission of promoting quality, accessible health care for all persons in the Georgetown area. These Strategic Partners are Lone Star Circle of Care and the Georgetown Community Resource Center.

Community Resource Center

With Georgetown’s rapid growth, the need for a variety of health, social, and human services which did not previously exist in our community was identified. After extensive community discussion, it was concluded there is a significant need for these services to be located in close proximity to one another. The facility for these and other services are made available at the Georgetown Community Resource Center (GCRC). In 2007 and in prior years, Georgetown Healthcare System provided support to GCRC through an in-kind donation of office space in the old Georgetown Hospital on University Avenue.

  • June 2010 – CRC relocation to 805 W. University Avenue – Aware of the community ongoing needs for expanded services and space for growth, GHF renovated the space to accommodate offices for ten non-profits to be housed in one central location.  Along with the organizational facilities, there are two conference rooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment donated by the 3M Corporation.
  • August 2010 – The CRC hosted an Open House and Ribbon Cutting to celebrate the opening of the new multi-tenant center.  Representatives from each non-profit organization were available for tours and to provide information regarding the services they provide.
