Mr. Tim Harris is a Broker with Georgetown Commercial Properties, and has been in real estate brokerage since 2001. He recently retired as the Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Business Management of Georgetown Rail Equipment Co. He has served in several roles at GREX, including VP for Real Estate, Treasurer, Secretary, and VP Corporate Affairs and Business Management. Prior to joining GREX in 2001, Mr. Harris spent 30 years in the banking industry, and was the President of the Georgetown Division of Regions Bank, and before that Hartland Bank. Prior to that, Mr. Harris held various positions with Texas American Bank in Austin, from teller to Executive Vice President. Mr. Harris holds a B.A. of Business Administration from Louisiana State University, and a Graduate Banking Degree from Southwest Graduate School of Banking at SMU. He served on several local Boards, and has served as Treasurer and later Chairman of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Georgetown Partners in Education, and President of the Rotary Club. He has also served as Treasurer and Board member of the Caring Place, and Board member and Investment Committee member of the Georgetown Hospital. He was selected “Citizen of the Year” in 2001, and received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009 for Economic Development. He recently was elected to the Board of Texas A&M University Central Texas Foundation, and is a Trustee for First Presbyterian Church Georgetown. Mr. Harris is married, has three children and two grandchildren, and has lived in Georgetown since 1990.
