- For-profit organizations
- Programs that exclude participants on the basis of race, religion, or sexual orientation
- Loans

Is a financial audit required in order to be considered for funding?
As of 2019, GHF asks that all LOI applicants provide your organization’s most recent audit if you have one. Applicants requesting $25,000-$50,000 are required to submit an audit. However, applicants requesting less than $25,000 that have not commissioned an audit may submit a CPA-prepared financial statement review.
What is the annual grant period?
July 1-June 30.
Is there a minimum or maximum dollar amount my organization can apply for?
Minimum is $10,000; maximum is $50,000. At its discretion, the GHF Grants Committee may elect to award funding at a level above the maximum threshold. Note: funding requests to GHF cannot exceed 25% of an organization’s total operations.
Can I apply for a grant if my organization is not located in Georgetown or if I serve a population other than Georgetown?
Yes, as long as your organization provides direct services to Georgetown residents living in the zip codes listed in the “eligibility requirements.”
How do I know if my organization is eligible to apply?
See “Eligibility Requirements”.
How often does GHF’s grant cycle occur?
Annually.
What is the process and timeframe?
GHF will accept Letters of Intent (LOIs) from eligible organizations from early December – late January each year (refer to Timeline on Grants page). If an organization advances beyond the LOI, a full application will be due late March/early April of that year. Awards are distributed the following June.
