Joan, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) has been a resident of Georgetown and is active in the Georgetown Community since 1991.  Joan is the Senior Manager in the Client Accounting Services department at Atchley and Associates, LLP, a CPA firm in Austin, Texas. She was previously the Chief Financial Officer for Georgetown Rail Equipment Company, Georgetown, Texas.

Joan currently serves as the Finance Chair of the Georgetown Health Foundation. She also serves as the Chair for the FBG Church finance committee. Joan’s past service includes her duties as Board Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  She is a member of the Delta Mu Delta (National Honor Society in Business Administration) Beta Kappa Chapter, the AICPA and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Joan graduated from Southwestern University Georgetown, Texas with a B.A. degree and received her M.B.A. in Finance from St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas.

Joan, a native Texan, has been married to Robert for 27 years and they have two children. They are actively involved in FBG Church Georgetown.  Joan’s interests include horseback riding, gardening, biking, playing the piano and reading.
